Human Rights Policy

Responsible business conduct is an integral part of Vegepörssi Oy’s daily operations. We are committed to respecting human rights throughout our business activities and to complying with all applicable laws and regulations. We operate with integrity, ethically, and responsibly in our relationships with our employees, customers, suppliers, and other business partners.

Our operations are guided by the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. We do not tolerate child labour, forced labour, discrimination, harassment, or any other human rights abuses. These principles guide our commitment to responsible business practices in our daily operations.

Additionally, we expect our suppliers and other business partners to comply with applicable legislation as well as internationally recognized human rights and responsible business principles. As part of our operations, we seek to understand our supply chain and to assess potential human rights and sustainability risks.

Where necessary, we request information from our suppliers regarding their responsible business practices and require any identified deficiencies to be remedied within a reasonable period of time.

Reporting and Handling of Concerns

We encourage our employees and business partners to report any concerns related to human rights, working conditions, or ethical conduct. All reports are handled appropriately, confidentially, and without undue delay. Each report is assessed on a case-by-case basis, and where necessary, appropriate investigation and corrective actions are taken. Our objective is to identify potential concerns at an early stage, prevent future occurrences, and continuously improve our operations.

Continuous Improvement

We recognize that responsible business conduct is an ongoing process. Therefore, we are committed to continuously developing our practices and regularly reviewing our operations to ensure responsible business conduct now and in the future.

We identify human rights and sustainability risks related to our operations and strive to prevent them proactively. If areas for improvement are identified within our operations or supply chain, we are committed to taking the necessary corrective actions.
