A new vegetable wholesaler Vegepörssi will replace Vihannepörssi

Dear Vihannespörssi customer,

We have established a new wholesale vegetable store, Vegepörssi, to replace the bankrupt Vihannespörssi, and we have acquired for example machinery and equipment from the former Vihannespörssi. We will continue operations in the old premises of the Vihannespörssi.

Vihannepörssi was known especially for its flexible deliveries, reliability, and product freshness. Our goal is to serve our customers at the same level. We will initially start operations in the Helsinki area and will evaluate expanding the product range and extending services to other cities in the future.

Petri Salminen has started as the CEO of Vegepörssi. He has a long background in leading horeca, food, and service businesses in Finland and worldwide. We have already recruited several key personnel from the former Vihannespörssi and will continue to grow our team. We emphasize industry expertise and customer service orientation in our recruitment efforts.

“Vihannespörssi was known for the quality and freshness of its products, as well as flexible deliveries. The bankruptcy left an unpleasant gap in the market. It’s great that the new owners are continuing this legacy,” says chef Hans Välimäki.

Behind Vegepörssi is a trio of investors, including the owners of the health service company 9Lives, Markus Ulfstedt and Katariina Matveinen, and Tuomo Saramaa, who is part of the operational management of ISS’s European operations, which provides global real estate and dining services.
