Product Recall: Metal Fragments Found in Vegepörssi Fruit Cups
Vegepörssi Oy is recalling a batch of fruit cup products due to the possible presence of small metal fragments.
The recall applies only to the following watermelon-containing products and packages marked with the best before date: 1 August 2025:
- Vegepörssi Fruit Salad “Aino” Cup 270 g
- Vegepörssi Fruit Salad “Charlotta” Cup 270 g
- Vegepörssi Fruit Salad “Erika” Cup 270 g
- Vegepörssi Fruit Salad “Fiona” Cup 270 g
- Vegepörssi Watermelon Pieces Cup 270 g

Best before date: 1 August 2025
The affected products were sold at:
Tammisto K-Citymarket, and K-Supermarkets in Konala, Lasihytti, and Tripla.
“Small metal fragments were found in some fruit cups due to human error during packaging. We take this matter seriously and are recalling the entire affected batch. Our production and packing lines have been thoroughly inspected to ensure this will not happen again with any other products or batches. A medical professional has confirmed that the fragments do not pose a significant health risk. We sincerely apologize for the incident,” says Peter Söderlund, COO of Vegepörssi Oy.
The recall concerns only the above-mentioned packages marked with the 1 August 2025 best before date. Retailers have been instructed to remove the affected products from sale.
Vegepörssi advises customers not to consume the affected product and to return it to the point of purchase for a refund.
